I’ve always been interested in fonts and lettering. In my art, letters lose their meaning and their identity becomes more of shape, texture, pattern. The symbolic meaning of the letter stays only if you want it to.
This piece reminded me of taking the subway in NYC for the first time. I was with someone who knew their way around. All of my senses were flooded and the signage became part of the life rushing around me.
