This one is now in the home of an artist friend who went through a tremendous struggle. She came through it but this piece reminded her of how the Spirit moved in her life and left her with a reminder of his presence. We named it together.

SALE! I’ve been thinking a lot about these little works I’ve been doing for my momentum project. For the most part they are 10 x 14 mixed media on Arches 140 lbs. paper. They are little beauties that are ready to go out in the world and bring some joy! I’m selling them for $50 each, shipping included within the continental US. DM or post a comment if you are interested in one of these or anything else you see on my feed. For this size it has been very easy for me to go to a craft supply store (watch for a 50% off sale on frames) and have them cut a mat from their in stock supply that will easily fit in a ready made 16 x 20 frame. Sometimes it’s better to just get it up on the wall and start enjoying it instead of waiting for that someday when you can afford the expensive framing job. Still reading and want a backstory? A couple of years ago my word of the year was horizon. It was time for me to look up, look forward and see how big the world is and can be. Too big for me to run it or control it. Better for someone else much bigger and wiser to keep the world spinning on its axis. It feels good to let that go (and keep letting go on a daily basis). It feels good to look up and see the world around me and have a better perspective of my place in it. It frees me up to receive what is mine, including joy. In that same spirit, I’m trying not to hold on to my work so tightly, fearfully wanting to control all the outcomes especially if that creativity doesn’t come back round again. (It will.)
